Bike Mechanics and Coaching Clinic Day

Join us on Sunday, July 25th from 7am-3:30pm for a bike mechanics plus coaching clinic, held by BICP mountain bike coaches Tina Meinhardt and Christina Booth. Christina is also the community engagement coordinator and bike mechanic at Good Turn Cycles in Littleton. The first 3 hours of the day will be held at the shop for a bike mechanics clinic. Bring your bike to work on- 2 people per bike stand- with topics including bike inspection prior to rides, what to have in your bike tool kit, flat tire repairs, brakes, derailleur and chain repairs, and suspension settings. 

After the mechanics clinic, everyone will head up to Lakewood- to Rooney Ranch school where the coaching clinic will be held, and then will take to the trails of Green Mountain to execute the skills learned.  The coaching clinic will be held 11:30-3:30 and will cover the essential skills of mountain biking, fundamental skills including ready positions, bike/body separation, and braking, as well as skills such as cornering, and navigating switchbacks uphill and downhill.  The cost of this full day clinic is $150, and will include light breakfast and coffee at the shop.  Please bring a lunch or snack for prior to the coaching clinic.
