About the Event
Jess Sorci, Nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner, will be coming to Rowdy Ryder Ranch on July 11th to give a presentation/discussion about women's health, on and off the bike.
Jess will discuss how a functional medicine approach to health can improve cycling performance, while give specifics on how women can train hard, while optimizing their overall and hormonal health.
Jess Sorci graduated from the Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education. After pursuing a teaching career, Jess returned to pursue her passion for nutrition. In 2015 Jess earned her Master Nutrition Therapy (MNT) certification from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, Colorado.
After graduation, Jess gained experience at Natural Grocers as a Nutritional Health Coach, where she focused on teaching nutrition classes within the community. After leaving Natural Grocers, Jess took a position in a clinical setting where she gained experience working with individuals with chronic health issues.
Jess has extensive knowledge working with those with autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders, thyroid-related issues, traumatic brain injuries, diabetes, hormone imbalances, and much more. Jess works in her private practice while earning her master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. In her free time, Jess enjoys spending time in the mountains, where she runs snowboards, and mountain bikes with her dogs.
